I was born and brought up in Newcastle and north Northumberland. For our holidays my family went to Padstow every summer where we stayed in a cottage on the harbour. I worked in Brussels before university at Newcastle where I studied History. I then moved south with my husband. I have two donkeys called Teasel and Francesca who live on a farm near my house. My favourite subjects are maths, languages and history.

When I was little I lived in Yorkshire but since then I have lived in Denmark, Wales, London and Gloucestershire. I love children and I have three children of my own. My other great passion is dogs and I have a Border collie called Smatcher. I went to Art College before I became a teacher. I love drawing and sometimes paint pictures. I enjoy looking at art and I go to lots of art galleries. Some of my favourite artists are Henri Matisse, Paula Rego and Howard Hodgkin. I also think we have lots of great artists in our school and can’t wait for Art week again. I love living in the countryside and think I am very lucky working in such beautiful surroundings.

I was born in London and my parents swiftly moved away to the south coast where I lived until I was 11 years old, after which we moved to Saffron Walden in Essex, near where Jamie Oliver grew up. I was at college in Manchester (studying Psychology and Neuroscience) and loved it but came back to London for far too long. They let me out about 18 months ago and I can at last indulge my obsession for growing vegetables, bird watching and rambling. I really love living here and can't imagine ever leaving. I spent a year in Australia when I was younger and can confirm that the water really does go down the plughole in the other direction. I have two cats called Tolstoy and Pushkin who moved from their home with my friend in London as they wanted to escape the city and catch shrews. They like to put them in shoes.

I was born in Cambridge and lived in Sawston (little village near Cambridge) for 18 years and got used to the nice flat fields and roads in East Anglia. I did my degree at Gloucester (Exercise and Health Science) and then decided to stay. I did my PGCE in Cheltenham and funded it by getting super healthy working as a fitness instructor teaching exercise classes and prescribing exercise for medical conditions. My vast menagerie at home consists of 1 dog (Rocky), 2 degus (Ben and Jerry), 1 Chinchilla (Wigit) and a tank of tropical fish (no names!).
